Illegal EU border crossings down significantly

ZAGREB, 27 Aug (Hina) - The number of people who illegally crossed the EU's external borders in the first seven months of 2026 fell by 37% compared with the same period last year in a trend that stands in stark contrast to the impression of a migration crisis created by a wave of arrivals in the Spanish enclave of Ceuta in late July and early August.
