Serbia urges power sector vigilance as heatwave cuts hydropower output

ZAGREB, 4 Aug (Hina) - Serbian Mining and Energy Ministry on Tuesday called for "the full commitment of everyone in the energy sector" to safeguard electricity supplies during a heatwave and record-low water levels on the Danube, which have reduced output at the largest hydropower plant, Đerdap, to a quarter of its capacity.
