According to HNV, 67.3% of respondents rated the council's work as excellent or very good, while 87.4% gave it a positive rating overall, including those who described it as good.
The highest ratings were given to the council's work in culture, education, cross-border cooperation and cooperation with associations and parishes. Lower, though still predominantly positive, ratings were recorded for the protection of Croats' rights, agriculture and the economy, and social programmes.
Asked about their voting preferences, 62.2% of respondents said they would support the list led by the current HNV leadership, while 27.8% said they remained undecided. Other lists received significantly lower support.
In the section measuring trust in members of the Croatian community, 60.3% named Vojnić as the person they trusted most, while the least trusted figure most frequently mentioned was Tomislav Žigmanov, president of the Democratic Alliance of Croats in Vojvodina (DSHV).
HNV stressed that the findings reflected only the views of survey participants and did not constitute an election forecast or represent support among the Croatian community in Serbia as a whole.
The anonymous online survey was conducted between 29 June and 29 July and included 587 respondents, equivalent to 11.15% of those who signed in support of candidate lists for the 2022 HNV elections.
The survey comes amid heightened political tensions within Serbia's Croatian community ahead of HNV elections due this autumn, with an ongoing dispute between the current HNV leadership and DSHV, alongside the emergence of the "Složno za HNV" (United for HNV) initiative, which has criticised the management of some Croatian community institutions.
The initiative has alleged that the "structure around HNV leadership" asked them to withdraw from the election campaign, while DSHV responded by saying the allegations reflected a serious institutional deviation. HNV, whose leadership will run for re-election under the slogan "Croatian National Initiative", has not officially commented on the accusations.
