Spain's Merida wins first ATP title with Croatia Open triumph

ZAGREB, 19 July (Hina) - Twenty-one-year-old Spaniard Daniel Mérida won his first ATP Tour title on Saturday, defeating Bosnia and Herzegovina's Damir Džumhur 6-2 5-7 6-2 in the Croatia Open final in Umag.

It was Mérida's second ATP final after losing to Argentina's Mariano Navone in Bucharest in April.

For the 34-year-old Džumhur, it was the fifth ATP final of his career, his first on clay and his first since winning the Antalya title in 2018.
