Split Summer Festival to open with premiere of Verdi's opera Don Carlo on Tuesday

ZAGREB, 12 July (Hina) - The 72nd Split Summer Festival will open this year on Peristyle Square with the premiere of Giuseppe Verdi's opera Don Carlo and the production is directed by Goran Golovko and conducted by Simon Krečić and Veton Marevci.

 More than 100 performers are expected to take part in the opening event, organisers announced recently.

The Split Summer Festival opens on 14 July and runs until 14 August.

Don Carlo will be performed twice more during the 72nd Split Summer Festival, on 16 and 18 July.
