EU approves first gene therapy for older SMA patients

ZAGREB, 7 July (Hina) - The European Commission has approved the first one-time gene replacement therapy for children over the age of two, adolescents and adults with 5q spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), opening the possibility for the treatment to become available to older patients in Croatia for the first time.
