“AI-Powered Medicine: From Discovery to Impact” symposium starts in Split

ZAGREB, 1 July (Hina) - The international symposium “AI-Powered Medicine: From Discovery to Impact” began on Wednesday at the Mediterranean Institute for Life Sciences (MedILS) of the University of Split.

The event brings together 16 speakers and 150 participants from almost all over the world.

The symposium has gathered leading international scientists, physicians, representatives of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, technology companies, healthcare institutions and students, who will discuss the latest applications of artificial intelligence in drug development and medicine.

The organiser of the symposium, researcher Igor Štagljar, said that medicine of the future will be faster, more precise and more efficient, while artificial intelligence is already changing the way drugs are developed and patients are treated.

Scientist Danica Ramljak said that the “AI-Powered Medicine: From Discovery to Impact” symposium is not only a scientific event, but also the beginning of building a strong future innovation ecosystem in Split and Dalmatia in this field.

 The event ends on Friday.
