Collaboration between Malkovich and Radovich in promotional video about Croatia

ZAGREB, 26 May (Hina) - The Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ) will premiere a new promotional video showcasing Croatia's scenery ahead of the FIFA World Cup, featuring collaboration with well-known actor John Malkovich and producer Pete Radovich, the HTZ reported on Tuesday.

The new promotional video will represent an additional step forward in promoting and positioning Croatia as an attractive, authentic and globally recognisable tourist destination, HTZ said. Filming took place at numerous locations across Croatia.

Announcing a teaser for the video, HTZ added that the premiere and global release are planned shortly before the start of the FIFA World Cup, with a particular focus on the US market, where the tournament will be held.

In the video, Malkovich, as the main character, explores the charms of Croatia, describing where he has stayed, what has captivated him, and why the Croatian way of life is particularly inspiring to him. HTZ noted that he is one of the world’s most respected actors, with two Academy Award nominations and numerous other accolades.

Malkovich was granted Croatian citizenship in early May. His great-grandparents emigrated to the United States from Ozalj.

Producer Radovich, who also has Croatian roots and has won multiple international awards for television and sports production, serves as creative director in the video.

HTZ highlighted that this marks the fourth collaboration between Malkovich and Radovich, whose previous joint projects have won a range of prestigious awards in the television and marketing industries, including five Emmy Awards, five Cannes Lions and eight Clio Awards.
