Domovina Summer School begins on 1 June

ZAGREB, 20 May (Hina) - The Domovina Summer School programme will begin on 1 June, giving a fifth generation of participants from the Croatian diaspora aged between 18 and 30 the opportunity to explore the country’s natural, cultural and historical heritage first-hand.

Running until 13 June, the programme will take participants on what organisers described as an educational and experiential journey through the homeland of their ancestors, including visits to Dubrovnik, Zadar, Sinj, Split, Varaždin, Vukovar and Zagreb.

The programme was created through cooperation between the Central State Office for Croats Abroad and the Association of Croatian American Professionals.

Since its launch in 2019, the initiative has linked Croatian communities around the world and aims to strengthen Croatian identity and a sense of belonging among young members of the diaspora, while encouraging global networking and cultural and scientific cooperation between Croatia and younger generations of emigrants.
