The medals were won by secondary school students Lana Škarica and Mare Zrno Agoli from Zagreb, and Ozana Margotić from Varaždin.
The competition brought together 218 female secondary school students from 59 countries.
The European Girls’ Olympiad in Informatics was launched to encourage greater interest among girls in computer science and informatics competitions, reflecting the underrepresentation of women in the field.
Croatia’s participation was organised by the Croatian Informatics Association with support from the Croatian Association of Technical Culture and the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth.
