Nadinić, who represents Croats and their descendants from Argentina in the Council, said greater cooperation was needed between universities, research centres and professional organisations in Croatia and Latin America.
"Many experts, scientists, entrepreneurs and innovators of Croatian descent in our region can become a valuable link for new forms of cooperation and joint development," she told the CroLatam portal in Argentina.
Nadinić has represented around 300,000 Croats and their descendants from Argentina in the Council since 2018. In May, she was elected vice-president responsible for overseas countries.
She said her priorities included expanding Croatian language programmes, supporting education and exchanges for younger generations, and creating professional, business and academic networks between Croatia and Latin America.
She also highlighted the importance of promoting women's leadership in Croatian communities and developing projects that connect Croatian organisations across several Latin American countries.
Nadinić said the main challenges facing Croatian communities in Latin America were geographic distance and the generational gap from the homeland of their ancestors.
"Many descendants feel a strong emotional connection to Croatia, but they don't always have access to the language, exchange programmes or experiences that would allow them to deepen that relationship," she said.
She called for more scholarships, educational programmes, youth exchanges, cultural projects, business meetings and digital connections.
Nadinić also praised the first Week of Croats Abroad, held in Zagreb in May, saying it provided an opportunity for representatives of Croatian communities from around the world to exchange experiences and establish new cooperation networks.
She is the founder and coordinator of CroActivas, a network that brings together 1,080 women of Croatian descent from Latin America and organises cultural, educational and humanitarian projects aimed at strengthening links between the diaspora and Croatia.
