The Central State Office for Croats Abroad said minority organisations -- associations, foundations, institutions and religious communities -- may apply with projects in culture, education, science, sport, tourism and other areas aimed at preserving national identity, strengthening the position of Croatian minority communities abroad and fostering ties with the homeland.
As the total allocation remains unchanged from last year, the amounts distributed by country are also the same.
The largest share, €625,000, is intended for Croatian minority organisations in Serbia, followed by Slovenia (€325,000), Austria and Hungary (€275,000 each) and Montenegro (€200,000).
Organisations in Romania, Kosovo, North Macedonia and Italy are each allocated €85,000, those in Slovakia €60,000, in the Czech Republic €55,000 and in Bulgaria €40,000.
The minimum grant per project has been increased from €400 last year to €500, while the maximum cannot exceed the total amount allocated to organisations in the respective country. Each applicant may submit up to two applications under the call, which is available on the Office's website.
