The new Hungarian parliament will hold its inaugural session on May 9 following the opposition's victory in the April 12 parliamentary elections, ending sixteen consecutive years of rule by nationalist Prime Minister Orban. Soprano Andrea Rost, 63, will enter parliament after having had an international career that has taken her from the Vienna Opera to the Metropolitan Opera in New York.
