FRANCE-HISTORY-HERITAGE-MUSEUM
This photograph shows the comparative anatomy room before work that must be undertaken at the Natural History Museum in Paris on January 22, 2026. Trilobites, rodents, butterflies: in the Paleontology and Comparative Anatomy Gallery of the Natural History Museum, teams are busy removing specimens from the collections and responding to requests from researchers. In a few days, it will be too late: the GPAC, a jewel of Art Nouveau architecture inaugurated in 1898, already closed to the public since mid-January, will be completely inaccessible for 18 months due to renovations.
