Serbia urges electricity savings as Đerdap hydropower output hits record low

ZAGREB, 2 Aug (Hina) - The Serbian government on Sunday urged citizens to reduce electricity consumption during a heatwave, with temperatures across the country ranging from 36°C to 39°C, as electricity generation at the Đerdap hydropower plant fell to its lowest level for May, June and July since the facility entered service in the early 1970s.
