Donna Vekić wins biggest title of her career at Queen’s Club

ZAGREB, 14 June (Hina) - Croatia’s Olympic silver medallist Donna Vekić won the biggest title of her career on Sunday after defeating Britain’s Emma Raducanu 6-0, 7-6 (6) in the final of the WTA 500 grass-court tournament at Queen’s Club in London.

Vekić, who entered the main draw as a “lucky loser" after losing in qualifying, secured her fifth career title in what was her 15th WTA final, ending a title drought that had lasted since Monterrey in 2023.

The victory will see Vekić climb 44 places in the WTA rankings, returning as Croatia’s highest-ranked female player. From Monday, she will be ranked 32nd in the world, one place behind Raducanu, who is set to rise 11 positions.
