Floating VAT only as a measure of last resort, says PM

ZAGREB, 8 April (Hina) - Prime Minister Andrej Plenković said on Wednesday that a “floating” VAT rate would be "a measure of last resort", to be used only “in the event of a major escalation” of conflict in the Middle East and a further rise in energy prices, adding that an alternative could be tapping into the European component of fuel excise duties.
