Renata Suša, Director of ZV, said the 33rd edition spans six pavilions and 15,000 square metres, with 300 exhibitors from 32 countries. Visitors can see over 230 vessels, including 34 Croatian premieres -- 12 more than last year.
The show, known as Nautika, "further confirms its strength and growth", Suša said, highlighting the blend of tradition and innovation and the irreplaceable experience of viewing boats in person despite digital advances. Croatian shipbuilders again hold a prominent place, she added, with domestic production matching top global builders.
Nautika head Zoran Ušurić described ZV as a "luxurious marina in the heart of Zagreb", noting the record number of premieres and that boats are on display for a range of budgets, with the most expensive exceeding €600,000.
Žarko Tušek, State Secretary at the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, said the show highlights the strength of domestic boat producers. He noted that Croatia holds 40% of the global charter market, with 1,000 charter companies operating nationally and 180 new ones launched last summer. Over €500 million has been invested in maritime infrastructure in the past few years.
MP Petar Šimić said the show blends tradition and innovation, passion and knowledge, and reflects the identity of Croatian shipbuilding, which, together with nautical tourism, creates over 1,000 jobs locally.
The fair was opened by Deputy Mayor Luka Korlaet. From Friday, the Zagreb Hunting Fair will also take place alongside Nautika.
