The exhibition, arriving from Bulgaria, will be on display from 15 to 17 January and will present a unique, almost forgotten craft-- gunsmithing --which requires the specialised skills of blacksmiths and goldsmiths and involves the hand-making and decoration of firearms.
This craft was practised by Bulgarian artisans in the 18th and 19th centuries, and today records of the tools and techniques used are increasingly rare.
The exhibition turns this traditional craft into an interactive digital experience, enabling visitors to enter a historical workshop through 3D models and virtual reality, meet the master craftsman, explore the tools and manufacturing techniques, and experience cultural heritage in a modern way, the statement said.
