Devastating storm rips through Split, tearing up trees and roofs

ZAGREB, 8 July (Hina) - A devastating storm hit Split and the surrounding area shortly before 9am on Tuesday, briefly knocking out power in the city and causing extensive damage to numerous buildings, particularly the Poljud stadium and Diocletian's Palace, while strong winds at sea led to boats colliding in the port.
