Ombudswoman: Protective orders not protecting domestic violence victims

ZAGREB, 31 Aug (Hina) - Gender Equality Ombudswoman Višnja Ljubičić warned on Wednesday that protective orders were not an adequate mechanism of protection for victims of domestic violence and that stricter penalties for perpetrators were necessary.
