France's Clement Noel wins World Cup men's slalom at Sljeme

ZAGREB, Jan 5 (Hina) - France's Clement Noel won the 11th edition of the World Cup men's slalom on Mount Sljeme, overlooking Zagreb, on Sunday, while the only Croatian skier to make it into the second round, Istok Rodes, finished 25th.

The 22-year-old Frenchman became the seventh winner of the Sljeme race. Austrian Marcel Hirscher, who announced in September he was ending his career, holds the record with five wins.

Swiss Ramon Zenhausern placed second, after emerging first in the first run, while 18-year-old Italian Alex Vinatzer came third.

Aleksander Aamodt Kilde of Norway leads in the overall Ski Cup ranking with 474 points, ahead of Italian Dominik Paris with 454 points and Frenchman Alexis Pinturault with 430 points. The highest ranking Croatian Filip Zubcic is in 46th place with 79 points.
